Episode Title: “What to Say When Someone Shows Interest in Your Network Marketing Business"

Cameron

Welcome to The Its All Team Podcast. My name is Cameron, and today we’re talking directly to the Generation X entrepreneur out there who knows deep down something has to change financially.

Because let’s be honest…

You’re working hard...

You’ve been working hard for decades.

But groceries cost more. Gas costs more. Insurance costs more. Retirement feels farther away than it did ten years ago.

And maybe you’ve started building a network marketing business… but when someone finally shows interest…

You freeze...

You don’t know what to say.

You don’t want to sound pushy.

You don’t want to scare them away.

And suddenly you turn a simple conversation into a weird sales pitch.

Today we’re going to fix that.

Because the truth is — most people don’t lose prospects because the opportunity is bad.

They lose them because they talk too much.

And joining me today is special guest Rebecca.

Rebecca’s a Generation X entrepreneur who completely changed the way she talks to prospects… and it transformed her business.

Rebecca, welcome to the show.

Rebecca

Thanks Cameron. I’m excited to be here because this topic honestly used to destroy me.

I used to think that when someone showed interest, I had to immediately become some kind of motivational speaker mixed with a corporate trainer.

And it was terrible.

Someone would say,

“Hey Rebecca, what do you do?”

And suddenly I’d launch into a twenty-minute explanation about compensation plans, products, founders, timing, residual income, leadership bonuses…

People’s eyes would glaze over.

Cameron

That’s the old-school 1995 network marketing training.

Corner people.

Talk nonstop.

Throw up information all over them.

Rebecca

Exactly.

And Generation X especially hates being sold to.

We grew up with telemarketers calling during dinner.

We watched late-night infomercials.

We’ve heard every sales gimmick in the world.

So when we accidentally sound like a salesperson… people mentally check out.

What changed my business was learning this:

Your job is NOT to convince people.

Your job is to guide interested people to the next step.

That’s it.

Cameron

That’s powerful.

Because so many people think they need all the answers, before they can recruit.

But honestly? Most people don’t join because somebody gave the perfect presentation.

They joined because they felt comfortable.

Rebecca

Exactly.

One day someone messaged me and said:

“So what is it exactly that you do online?”

And instead of panicking, I simply replied:

“I show people how to use modern online systems to create an additional stream of income from home. If you’re open, I can show you how it works.”

That’s it.

Simple. Calm. No pressure.

And the crazy thing?

That worked BETTER than every complicated explanation I’d ever used.

Cameron

Because curiosity beats pressure every time.

And I think Gen X listeners need to hear this:

You do NOT need to sound like a guru.

You don’t need to act rich.

You don’t need fake Lamborghinis.

You don’t need to scream on social media.

You just need to sound normal.

Concept #1 — Stop Explaining Everything

Let’s break this down practically.

The first mistake people make when someone shows interest is this:

They explain WAY too much.

Rebecca, why is that dangerous?

Rebecca

Because overwhelmed people disappear.

When someone first shows interest, they usually only want answers to three things:

Is this real?

Can someone like me do this?

What’s the next step?

That’s all.

Not the entire company history.

Not a forty-five-minute compensation lecture.

Not seventeen product testimonials.

Cameron

So instead of dumping information, keep it simple.

Here are examples listeners can use:

Someone says:

“What are you doing online?”

You say:

“I’m building an online income system with other people who want to create additional monthly income.”

Or:

“I work with people who want to learn modern attraction marketing online.”

Or:

“I’m part of a community teaching people how to build income using today’s internet tools instead of old-school chasing techniques.”

That’s enough.

Concept #2 — Ask Questions Instead of Pitching

Rebecca

This changed everything for me.

Most people pitch immediately.

But professionals ask questions.

If someone says:

“I might be interested…”

Don’t attack them with information.

Instead ask:

“What caught your attention?”

Or:

“Are you looking for extra income, long-term residual income, or eventually replacing a job income?”

Now the conversation becomes about THEM.

Cameron

That’s huge psychologically.

People don’t care about your business until they feel understood.

And Generation X especially wants practical outcomes.

They’re thinking:

Can this assist me with retirement?

Can this reduce financial pressure?

Can this give me breathing room?

Concept #3 — Use Third-Party Tools

Now here’s where modern 2025-style marketing completely crushes the old methods.

You do NOT need to personally explain everything anymore.

That’s what tools are for.

Videos.

Landing pages.

Podcasts.

Short-form content.

Webinars.

Systems.

Rebecca

Exactly.

I used to think I had to personally “close” everyone.

Now I simply say:

“Instead of me trying to explain everything badly, let me send you something that explains it clearly.”

That takes pressure off everyone.

Cameron

And that’s what we teach inside the It's All Team system.

You don’t build by chasing people around Walmart anymore.

You build by creating curiosity and guiding people through systems.

That’s the future.

Let’s get real for a minute.

A lot of Generation X people listening right now are exhausted.

Working full-time jobs.

Watching retirement costs climb.

Watching younger generations monetize social media while they still feel stuck trying to figure all this out.

And maybe they’ve already failed in network marketing once before.

Maybe multiple times.

Rebecca

That was me.

I thought I “wasn’t good at recruiting.”

Turns out I was just using outdated methods.

Once I learned attraction marketing and simple conversations…

Everything changed.

I stopped trying to pressure people.

And ironically… more people became interested.

Cameron

If today’s episode connected with you, understand this:

You do NOT need to become a high-pressure salesperson to build a successful network marketing business in 2025 and beyond.

You need:

Better systems

Better positioning.

Better conversations.

Better tools.

That’s exactly what we’re building at:

iTSALLTeam.com

Inside the system, we teach modern attraction marketing strategies specifically designed for people who are tired of old-school network marketing tactics.

No chasing friends and family.

No weird pressure tactics.

No pretending to be someone you’re not.

Just real people learning modern ways to create income online.

Rebecca

And if you’ve been sitting there thinking:

“I’m too late…”

“I’m not techy enough…”

“I don’t know what to say…”

You’re exactly the kind of person this system was built for.

Cameron

Thank you for joining us on The It's All Team Podcast.

My name is Cameron.

And remember:

You’re running out of time… but you are NOT out of options.

We’ll see you in the next episode.

Rebecca

Thank You Everyone
