Motivation vs. Discipline: Why Consistency Wins Every Time
Some mornings you wake up feeling motivated.
Other mornings... you wake up feeling like your coffee needs a cup of coffee first.
Thankfully, coffee can help wake up the body.
The rest is up to us.
One thing I've noticed over the years is that motivation comes and goes, but discipline has always shown up.
As Generation X, many of us were raised to keep our word, show up on time, finish what we started, and take care of our responsibilities. We didn't always enjoy every day, but we learned that progress isn't built on excitement. It's built on consistency.
I'm on Day 18 of posting here every single day.
Some days the words come easily. Other days I have to think a little harder. But I've learned something valuable: every small step matters.
Whether you're trying to lose weight, get out of debt, strengthen your marriage, build a business, or simply become a better version of yourself...
Don't wait until you feel motivated.
Do the next right thing anyway.
Six months from now, you'll be grateful that today's version of you decided not to quit.
Question for you: What's one thing you've stayed consistent with over the years that has made your life better?
