One Task at a Time: A Generation X Mindset for Achieving Big Goals
Mindset for the Day
Standing in front of my office this morning, looking at the list of everything that needs to be done over the next five weeks of summer cleaning, it's easy to think about how much work there is still ahead.
But I've learned that big jobs don't get finished all at once.
They get finished one task, one room, one day at a time.
Sometimes we can become so focused on everything that remains to be done that we forget to appreciate the progress we've already made.
The same is true in life. Goals, dreams, and even everyday responsibilities don't require perfection. They require consistency.
You don't have to do everything today.
You just have to do the next thing.
Before you know it, those small daily victories add up to something much bigger.
